Cure for the Dreary Day

The clouds have returned but at least they left the cold behind. If you are needing a little " sunshine" we have a store full of new goods that is sure to put you in the spring mood. Here's a quick peek at what came in the past few days...

Mystery Mother's Day Class

"Mystery" Mother's Day Class

Tuesday, April 7th

5:30-8:30

Each year Jackie does a "mystery" class where you get to see the outside of the project but the inside isn't revealed until class. It's a fun creative surprise! The " surprise" is housed in a decorated cigar box decorated with a vintage looking photo, old wall paper, ledger paper, a little paint and silver leaf. For the inside " mystery" part, you will need to bring a few photos 4x6 and smaller or you can wait until after class to add the photos. Sample is at the store but remember... no peeking!

Terri will be helping with the Flower pin, Debbie & Pam the Junque in the Trunk and Lisa the Altered Spoon. If you are attending the Glitter Retreat please consider doing one or more of the swaps. Spring Glitter Retreat Swaps

For all of you lucky ladies going to the Paper Crown Spring Glitter Retreat, I have the three swap options. We will have a swap each of the three days of the retreat. You can participate in none, one, two or all three the choice is yours. I will tell you that everyone who has not participated in the past has been so disappointed.

Thurs. pm- Flower Pin Swap. Create a flower pin of your choice that can be adhered to a jacket, bag, purse. Let your creativity bloom!

Fri. - Junque in the Trunk. Each participant will fill out a questionnaire of some of your favorites " little things" and then you will be assign a partner to buy trinkets for based on their list and present their treasures to them a decorated container. Think of all the wonderful treasures you could get!

Sat. - Altered Spoon Swap. Take an ordinary spoon and turn it into something wonderful. I have a collection of spoons at the store if you need one.

We are still looking for someone to head up the flower pin and altered spoon swaps, if interested please let me know. For those of you attending the Spring Glitter Retreat, let me know which swaps you are interested in and I will pass your name on to the person/ persons heading up each swap.

Gee, this sounds like fun but I'm not registered for the retreat. We still have a couple of spots available so it isn't too late to sign up. It is a fun three days of four wonderful projects, the tastiest meals, fun field trip, swaps and more surprises and treats than you can count.

Sunshine

Finally we have a beautiful day and thankfully a whole forecast full of them. Come celebrate the warmer weather with a little shopping and creating. The store is ALL new and more arriving in the next few days.

Class Roll

I thought I would give you a rundown of the classes we have scheduled now through the Spring Glitter Retreat the end of April. There are a few spots still open in all except the first beginning brush calligraphy class. If you have been wanting to take a Paper Crown class, these are all wonderful choices. We have the most talented teachers and original projects in a large classroom. Each class is more of an event and we know you will go home with a beautiful project and new friends.
