What We'll Do:

This class is truly meant for someone that has never picked up a brush pen and wants to learn calligraphy. If you can write with a pen, you can learn this art. All ages are welcome. We will begin with the correct way to hold a brush pen and learn the basics of ink flow.  We will then dive right in with practices and techniques to get you on the right track. You will learn the basic script forms to get you started. Next we will go over the various modern calligraphy alphabets that can be created with different brush strokes.  We will also go over flourishes and different ways to alter your calligraphy. Lastly, you will learn how  to digitize your artwork so you can create stamps, notecards, etc. I will be available to answer all questions and guide you every step of the way.

Terri Brush/Paper Crown Retreat is filling quickly don't be sorry!

It's Hereeeeeee!

This wasn't scheduled on the blog (trying to be more organized in 2016) for today but when I opened this box, I couldn't wait and decided it would be the PERFECT second treat for 2016! Ladies please don't expect this every day of 2016, that would be amazing but I don't think any of us could handle that much excitement.

Think of this as the treat that keeps on giving with a big fireworks show in June!

The Stephanie Ackerman Documented Faith monthly planner packs have arrived.

This kit is even neater than I thought; January's contains a sheet of stickers, notepad, wooden word, cutest arrow clips, journaling prompt book, 4 motivational cards & 4 coloring cards. I'm very impressed with this kit and I think you all will be also. I believe each month is centered around a word and January's is "pray." January's kit is available and can be shipped to those of you from out of town.

Since so many of you are doing Stephanie's Documented Faiths planner and so many other planners, we are thinking of hosting a planner night once a month at Paper Crown. If you are interested please let me know.

On that same note, Stephanie's Documented Faith planners and monthly stitch kits should also be at the store the first part of next week.


 Woo hoo we can all get our friend fix until the weekend of June 17th when, drum roll please... Stephanie will be at Paper Crown.  I was beyond excited when Stephanie asked to come back- my response was a hearty of course! We haven't decided on classes nor has registration opened up but I promise you will know when it does and for now,  just block off that weekend.

January is starting off pretty well I would say!

1st Treat of 2016 from Terri Brush

I have been a little slow getting things up and running for 2016- maybe I need one of those fun planners that have everyone buzzing ( we have them and more on those soon!)- but I think you will absolutely love what we have in store for 2016 and especially our first reveal for 2016.

 

 

So very many of you enjoyed our weekend this fall with Terri Brush, Heather and Billie. We made some beautiful projects, met some new friends and we all drooled over the pictures of Terri's new studio in OR. Well guess what ladies, Terri is hosting a private retreat at her OR studio just for us Paper Crown girls. You read correctly, we are hoping on a plane and headed to the Northeast. We will enjoy a welcome dinner at Terri's home (she is an amazing cook) and then we will have 2 days of classes and then head to Portland for an Antique Show. It's the perfect girl's weekend and guess what, we will be in beautiful cool OR while everyone at home is sweltering in the OK heat! This really couldn't be more perfect!

Also in is the Children's Hour from Graphic 45. Love the calendar grid pads in both 8x8 and 12x12. Can't think of a better or more creative way to get organized for 2016

First Week of 2016

Wow! I can't believe another year has passed. 2015 was such a fun and busy year at Paper Crown and 2016 is looking to be even busier with more surprises. I'm taking this week to move Christmas out and the new in. This week also marks the beginning of CHA market and the new lines and products look pretty amazing- after only one day!

While I'm busy planning and rearranging, thought I'd let you all know that the Christmas is all 40% off and Valentine collections are out ( a couple more should be here today) and a fun line of sports papers. Yea for cute boy lines!
