New Anna

One of our favorite designers, Anna Griffin; she rarely disappoints.

Seems that most of the travel lines this season are nautical themed so when I saw this, I thought I don't need another. So very glad I changed my mind, this one is gorgeous and I love the Regatta
paper; it has bright colors and a little art deco feel.

Come check out all the new products that are beginning to trickle in. Another of our favorites, My mind's Eye, should be here tomorrow- just in time for the weekend!

Summer Stories Album
Fri., Aug. 5th
6-9
Designed & taught by
Debbie Schuh, $65

Class description:
Summer! The best time of year and the perfect time to make a mini album to hold the memories of all the fun that summer brings. Family and fireworks and picnics and ice cream and all the things that fill our summer days will find a home in this darling 7 ½” x 8 ½” mini album.

Using the Summertime collection from October Afternoon mixed with the Spring Fling collection from Pebbles, Inc, we’ll make our own album filled with interactive pages for lots of photos and mix in page protectors with room for even more. Your kit will be full of products to personalize your album (even your own full roll of washi tape!) Each kit contains the instructions and color photos if you cannot attend class.

Student Supply List: Please bring the following items to class… 12” paper trimmer, ruler, pencil, scissors, scoring tool, stapler, strong tape adhesive (I use Scor-pal 1/8”, ¼” and 1” most often), foam adhesive, Crop a Dile or ¼” Power Punch, corner rounder, scallop scissors. Optional supplies: Tim Holtz Binder Punch.

 Secret Garden Album
Sat., Aug. 6th
10:30-1:30
Designed & taught by
Debby Schuh, $70

Class description:
This beautiful album is a book I wanted to make after reading the book, Make It Happen by Lara Casey, as a place to record my thoughts and plans, my goals and purpose, my word for the year, and photos and mementos that celebrate the progress I’ll make as I "tend the garden" of my life. Just as garden needs cultivating, so our lives need tender-loving care to bloom beautifully! AND if all this seems way too introspective to you, then it’s just a really pretty album to use for anything YOU want!

Your carefully curated class kit will be full of the gorgeous new Bloom collection from Maggie Holmes from Crate Paper and the playful new Simple Stories striped Snap album. The inside of your album can be set up in a way that best suits what you decide to use it for – it can be divided into sections and the divided page protectors will be perfect for displaying your photos and stories and thoughts. We’ll use the Fuse tool in new ways to add interactive elements to your pages. As always there will be lots of options for decorating the cover and the pages in your own way, too! Each kit comes with instructions and color photos in case you cannot attend the class and want to complete the album on your own or with friends.

Roadtrip Fun

One last little gem from our road trip to Waco last weekend.

Angie created this fun coloring sheet for the girls at the retreat. She did a great job incorporating all the elements/symbols of our weekend- states of OK & TX, Magnolia and windmill/sunflower for Magnolia House, Stephanie's signature heart and NeoColors for Stephanie's workshop & crown for Paper Crown. Love that I can ask Angie for a coloring sheet with a heart, magnolia & crown and she comes up with this masterpiece.

Not sure whose this is but it's a beauty!

Paper Crown will be Open
Today, Fri. July 1st and Tomorrow, July 2nd
We Would love to see you!

Homecoming

In keeping with this week's theme.... Katie will very, very reluctantly get on a plane tomorrow to return to the States after spending 3 weeks teaching/serving in Africa. She said it is going to be one of the hardest things she has done.

Such happy faces- well, most of them. I told her Joseph might just be a little camera shy. She is so much braver, thoughtful and globally minded than I was at her age- or truth be told, than I am  now. So very proud of her and astonished at the young woman she has become.

She said mama I really want to go back. I knew she would, even before she left Dallas ; )
Safe travels Bug; it isn't good bye but just a break in the hugs! ox
