It was just what I needed to help make the Waco store feel like home....a visit, class, goodies & treats from Jackie.

As those of you who have followed the blog know, Jackie has been our teacher extraordinaire for 12 years at Paper Crown. She has taught 100s of classes, made 100s of adorable name tags & baked 100s of Jackie treats. She was my very own guardian angel and I was thrilled to have her teach in Waco last week.

 

Last spring our good friend Becky introduced us to punch needle and Jackie quickly became an expert and made it her own. It was a perfect choice for her first class here in Waco, especially since Paper Crown will be carrying Jackie's original patterns.

We had a great group of ladies from OKC, Dallas/ Ft. Worth, Waco, Houston and even our favorite Georgia peach made her 1st trip to Waco. Thank you ladies for making the drive to Paper Crown. I love that we are beginning to have a few regulars and I look forward to the next few months of classes.

Thank you again Jackie for making the drive to Waco. It was just what I needed and I hope we can twist your arm to make the trek a couple of times a year- PLEASE!!

Good Grief Girdie & Sale

The incredibly talented Jackie Peters aka Good Grief Girdie will be teaching at Paper Crown next Thursday, Sept. 6th from 6-9. Cost is $55 and includes pattern, thread and instruction. Please bring with you your punch needle and embroidery hoop ( Jackie uses the Ultra Punch and 7" Morgan gripping embroidery hoop. Both will be available to purchase at Paper Crown if needed.)  Jackie's talents are endless but her latest passion is punch needle and not only will she be teaching it, but we will be making one of Jackie's original designs. When we first started punch needling it was hard to find cute patterns.  Jackie has taken care of that and designed 6 of her own which will be available at Paper Crown.

For the 12 years Paper Crown was in Oklahoma City, Jackie was my main teacher, dresser of Girdie (our store mannequin), and right hand gal in all things Paper Crown. It does feel strange not to see her every week and that is why I'm over the moon to have her travel to Waco.

Who Doesn't LOVE a Great Sale

It's a favorite time of year for Paper Crown girls, 40% off Sale this weekend, Fri., Aug. 31st & Sat , Sept. 1. Twice a year I discount almost everything in the store 40 % off to clear out one season and make room for the new. In addition to the 40% off, I will have a table with 10 cent paper. The girls loved this in OKC and I have a feeling TX will not be any different. Store hours are 10-5:30 on Friday and 10-4 on Saturday ( We will close at 4 on game days- I finally get to be a consistent Baylor Bear fan- sic'em! )

It Was a Zoo!

 

iT WAS A zoo! What a great time we had this Saturday at Jenn's Animal Lulette class. All 13 of us received the same materials but what a fun menagerie was created. Thanks Jenn for guiding and inspiring us. Thank you ladies! You all drove at least an hour to attend class and we had a great day getting to know you and creating with you! You are all appreciated!
