Now is Your Chance

OK everyone, now is your chance. A new year, fresh start, 12 months of hope. I have some goals and ideas for 2014 but am wondering what you- Paper Crown friends, fellow artists, customers and blog followers - would like to see happen this year. I am wanting to hear what lines or companies you love, classes or techniques you would like to take,  teachers you want to inspire you, events to celebrate our creativity and anything else you want to comment on- well, within reason please.

I hope to meet with Paper Crown's gems next week to come up with a rough plan for the year. We will be discussing classes, products, Glitter Market, web store- which I know needs a lot of work, PR, events and a possible retreat. We would love to hear your ideas and be able to incorporate those into our discussion.

P.S. I'll save several of you some time- as much as I would love to have Tim Holtz come visit the store, I'm afraid he is way out of our league. Maybe someday when he has made millions and teaches just for the fun of it. You can always hope!

Christmas Mess

I use the word " mess" in the best, most creative sense. Nevertheless what I have in the backroom is a predominately red and green Christmas mess! I can only look at it for a few more days so if you need something for all those Christmas pictures or if you just want to get a head start on this year, come and get it before it is gone. It will be gone on Monday.

New Year- New Classes

It seems like the Holidays were much longer ago than a few weeks. All the preparation and activity and then poof! it's over. I always take off after Christmas to spend time with my family and just take a break.

We celebrated Em's 15th birthday on New Year's Eve.

 Then off to a sad Fiesta Bowl for our Baylor Bears

 

and a long 14 hour drive home-" Friends" episodes non stop- I am now an certified "Friends" expert.

 

So now it's time to pack up Christmas and get ready for a new year. I have been busy ordering new lines for the store and coming up with some goodies I think you will love. While I was sunning in Phoenix, Jackie was busy coming up with her January and February classes.

 

 

We will start off the new year with this fun Valentine tag class using the new stamp line from one of our very favorites, Catherine Moore. I hope to have Catherine's new line in the store soon and I know you will have a hard time deciding which ones to get- they are all GREAT!

Mystery " Love" Book

If you haven't done one of Jackie's "mystery" book classes you are in for a fun treat. How this class works is you get to see the cover but that is it- the wonderful insides will be revealed at class. It's kinda like getting a present out of the blue- and who doesn't like that! You need to bring several of your "love" pictures whether they are from a wedding, anniversary or special event or person. You also need to bring a book to use as your cover. Jackie's is  5.5" x 9. If you can find one in that range it would be great.

 Also it is that time of the year when you are never quite sure what the weather will be. If OKC public schools are closed for inclement weather we will be also and class rescheduled.
