November Classes & Events

Happy Halloween!

October just seemed to fly by.  We had so much going on at Paper Crown this month but I must admit, I'm ready for a little slower pace but what a busy, creative and fun month we have had!

Holiday classes start up in November- two favorites are this week- and a Paper Crown favorite, Glitter Market, along with our Terri Brush weekend. In February when I finalized Terri's visit to OKC it seemed like November would never get here and in just a few short weeks, Terri Brush and all of her creativity will be here.

Just 3 Spots Left

In just 3 short days Kaari Meng of French General will be at Paper Crown to teach two fabulous classes. Of all the extra kits Kaari shipped, we only have 3 kits left. You won't want to miss this opportunity to meet Kaari and take from a master teacher.

We have just one spot available for Kaari's Deconstructed Jewelry Class this Wednesday evening, October 28th from 5:30-8:30.

We have two spots open for Kaari's Boro & Sashiko Stitching Class Thursday morning October 29th from 10:30-1:30. Both classes are $68 and include all your supplies. In addition to class, Kaari has brought with her some of her vintage goods and textiles from her LA store, French General. These items will be available for purchase.

For those of you registered for Kaari's classes- If you are attending the jewelry class feel free to bring any broken jewelry, charms or rosaries to add to your project. The same applies to those attending the stitching class; any special scraps will just make your boro your own unique creation.

Let's show Kaari how excited we are to have her in Oklahoma and at Paper Crown by selling out of both classes. To grab one of the three remaining spots, call Paper Crown at 405 848-2389. You will not want to miss this opportunity!

Thank You!

A special thank you to everyone who participated in our Pumpkin Swap. As we expected, the pumpkins were out of this world and we were in awe of everyone's unique creative touch. What better way to showcase these than a pumpkin parade....

It's All About the Presentation

I would get so many requests to buy the props I used for displays at the store that a few years ago  I began ordering a few extras for those that wanted the Paper Crown look at home or in their studios. Jackie found a great new company at market this summer and it is quickly becoming one of my favorites.

Two of our favorites- old trophies and the best candles ever
Lots of new Ranger products in

Just in time for all of your holiday projects, German glass glitter

Next week we have a very special treat at Paper Crown. Kaari Meng of French General will be in town to teach two classes. Kaari's store, French General, is a LA treasure of vintage goods she has acquired through her travels both in US and France. In addition to her retail store, Kaari teaches a wide variety of classes, designs products for the textile and paper industries and hosts the most heavenly retreat at Chateau Dumas in France! I meet Kaari several years ago at the retreat and have had her on my wish list of teachers. I am thrilled to introduce her to you and have her at the store. Have a great weekend! I'm going to go cheer on some Bears and hopefully hit the silo ; )

Fun on the Paper Trail

We had such a great time last Saturday with Eileen Hull and "Scotty" on the Paper Trail. It was fun to hear about Eileen's adventures on the road and create a cute mini journal using her passport die from Sizzix.

Amazing what Eileen packed in her trailer

Amy and her daughter Rachel were able to join in the fun

We had a great time and wish Eileen " happy trails" as she continues her journey towards home. We wish you safe travels, good weather, lots of laughter and a recovered knee!
