Hello Friend!

It's filling up quickly so I thought I would remind you about Jackie's newest class, Friendship Log, next Thursday, Aug. 31st from 5:30-8:30. Do you remember as a school age kiddo getting your friends to write in your friendship book, autograph book or yearbook?  Well, this is Jackie's wonderfully creative take on that fun tradition.

Fall means more classes and holiday classes ( Halloween lines are already in and on display).  Here is a run down of the classes I have scheduled at this moment for August and September. I know there are a couple more in the works ( Bobbie will have a Halloween class and I believe Angie will also. I'm also tickled pink to announce  Jen McGlon will be here for a Halloween, Fall or Christmas doll so watch for class date.)

Memoranda Journal Album
Sat., Sept. 9th
2:30-5:30
Debby Schuh, $70 *
Kits are Available

Featuring the beautifully collaged Tim Holtz Idea-ology Memoranda paper collection, we will
each create a unique journal and scrapbook to hold our family photos and stories or to use as a
travel journal or to use for anything you can dream up! This workshop is filled with creative
techniques for making your book interactive and filled with secret pocket and booklets for all
your stories and photos. We will be using the Cinch machine to add wire-binding to our custom
journals; we will learn to color and customize die cuts with Distress Markers; we will be learning
tricks for expanding the pages of our books to make them more useful; and lots more!

Each book will be unique as you choose from a wide variety of paper dolls and botanicals for
the cover of your book.* This is a great opportunity to make the cover more personal with a
feminine or more masculine or childlike cover. The twelve sheets of double-sided paper that
come in the class kit also offer limitless choices to make the book your own. From the door knob
on the front cover to the rub ons and snippets of ephemera and trinkets that you'll find in your
kit, you'll have fun playing and creating and learning with me!

Class kits come with instruction with color photos. Your kit will contain an assortment of paper dolls and botanicals. The book can be assembled with binding rings that you might have instead of the Cinch machine.

If you would like to make your book cover just like the sample book, you can purchase the full
packages of Idea-ology Paper Dolls (TH93555) and Botanicals (TH93554) separately.

This Week- 8/14/17

I have been dreading this week for a while. This time tomorrow I will be in Waco moving the boys into their new homes. Payne is moving into his house for his last semester at Baylor and Em will be moving into his dorm room. I have officially become an empty nester and it really isn't anything I am too excited about.

My how 4 years have flown by!

New chapters in life are inevitable but it's a little hard when you really, really loved that last chapter. Nevertheless, guess it is time to put on those big girl panties, let my boys become the young men we have been working on for so many years and see  what new adventure awaits.

As a result of the move, we will be closing a tad bit early today- 3:30. We are going to try and miss the severe weather that might hit tonight. Also we will be opening at 11:30 on Friday. However, Friday and Saturday is the Casady Square Summer sale and our back room will be full of bargains!

Angie will be at the store on Wed. and Thurs. and I unpacked some new goodies yesterday.

If you love her fabric you will go crazy over this coloring book

We are kinda obsessed with SHRINK

Thanks to Miss Julie, we are all busy making shrinket beads and the cutest little dangles. After Jackie posted this picture last week, I have had several calls wanting this cute stamp.

Well guess what? It isn't a stamp but traced out of one of my favorite coloring books- Paris Style. Isn't Jackie brilliant! Think of all the possibilities of taking your favorite coloring book images, tracing them on clear shrink, coloring them and then shrinking them into the cutest little things.

We have several coloring books at the store that would be perfect!

We got in the sanded shrink this week so we have everything you need to color and then shrink!
