A Reminder

Just a quick reminder before the last weekend of the summer-

Paper Crown will be closed on Sat., Sept 1- Mon., Sept 4 for Labor Day Weekend.
To help get you through the weekend, we will be open tonight, Fri., Aug 31st until 7pm. We will open on Tues, Sept . 4th at 10am and remain open until 2pm. Normal store hours, 10-5:30, will resume on Wed., Sept 5th.

Second, it is not too late to sign up for classes but they are filling quickly. Sorry girls but Jackie's fall banner class is at capacity :(  However rest of the classes have a few openings so review that list this weekend; there are some great ones!

Third, it's not too late to send Miss Girdie a postcard. We will take postcard through mail call on Wed., Sept 5th.and then draw for a $75.00 Paper Crown gift certificate. Thanks to everyone who has sent a postcard this summer. Mail call has been such a treat for everyone and we have the coolest front window!

A couple that have come in this week from Mary and Denise. My apologizes to Lisa and Libby. They are the ones who sent the fun flamingo post card from Panama City Beach. My apologizes to dad also- he had to wait while the girls picked out the perfect card- for a mannequin. You are a trooper!

Last, the old marketing jingle " stack it high and watch it fly" is quit appropriate for our 60% off table. There is great stuff there ladies- you just have to dig!

new goodies- chevron!

Have a Happy and Safe Labor Day Weekend!

Mom, What Do You Do All Day?

Recently, Em asked me what I do all day- no school, no homework, no projects, no practice. Do you just sit at the store? Yes Em, your mom does nothing all day.

Here is a week's worth of nothingness,,,

 Really Em?!!! Really

If you haven't been by this week come see the new "nothingness" at Paper Crown. It is all new!
Now that is "nothingness" is complete, I can tackle the boxes of "nothing" in the back.

Thanks to everyone who attended Jackie's class tonight. You girls are good - and speedy! If you missed tonight, there are plenty of class opportunities in the next few months.

Since I have been doing "nothing" lately, I decided to take off a few days to enjoy the last days of summer. Paper Crown will be closed Sat. Sept 1 - Tues., Sept. 4. However, since we will be out a few days, Paper Crown will remain open tomorrow, Friday, August 31st until 7 pm so you can stock up for the Labor Day weekend. Normal store hours will resume on Wed., Sept 5.

Have A wonderful and safe Labor Day weekend!

As you can see it is going to be a busy and creative Fall at Paper Crown. I would like to welcome a couple of new teachers- Bobbie Sanders & Pam Hoppers. Both have been Paper Crown customers and I am so very pleased to add them to our list of wonderful teachers. I am a lucky girl.

I meet Bobbie through another talented friend, Linda Land. Bobbie, like some of our favorite Paper Crown girls, has worked in the creative department at Hobby Lobby and is now crafting with her friend Linda and playing with her adorable granddaughter. We are very lucky to have this talented and experienced teacher.

Another new teacher to Paper Crown is Pam Hoppers. Pam is a retired media specialist- aka librarian-from OKC Public schools. Cards and mini books are Pam's specialty and we are glad she is sharing her clever creations with us.

Although she isn't new, we are so glad to have Miss Holly back at Paper Crown. Holly's kiddos are a little bit older so she is able to squeeze in some classes. We are so grateful Holly is sharing are precious " free" time with us.

You have all been patiently waiting and I can finally give you dates and pictures of some of Paper Crown's wonderful Fall classes. I anticipate there being a few more Fall/ Halloween classes but this is what we have nailed down for now- noon on Tuesday.

To reserve your seat just call Paper Crown at 405 848-2389. Please have a credit card available when you call. We will take down your credit card number when you reserve your seat; however, you will not actually be charged until the evening of the class.

Kid's Play

Last Thursday night, the adults got a chance to play just like the kiddos. We took one of our very favorite Kid's Camp projects and taught it to the adults! It was so much fun and as you can see, the results were wonderful.

These are some of the finished pieces we completed that evening.

We started off with a black canvas and I had everyone sketch a vase in chalk. Everyone then came up with three " signature flowers" they would paint on their canvas and then pass that canvas to a neighbor would would do the same. It is a kinda round robin bouquet. We then filled in any gaps with greenery and finished the vase. A few even added sparkle for that 'Paper Crown touch."  Each was unique and so very charming. It was a fun evening and so easy to teach- I just squirt out paint and the students do all the work.

Great Job Girls- thanks for coming to kid's adult camp!!

New Goodies Just In--
