Whew!! What a Busy But Oh So Fun Week

Where did this week go? I can't believe Paper Crown Glitter Market was a week ago. My apologies for being AWOL this week. It has been one wonderful thing after another but I am finally getting to catch my breathe.

Last Friday as Jackie and I were scrabbling to set up for Glitter Market, look who popped into the store....

the very talented Colleen Moody ! Colleen's son is going to college in state and they were in town for a game. It was so nice to meet Colleen in person and we talked about Colleen teaching at Paper Crown. Date coming very soon- it is actually next on the list after this blog posting.

Saturday was Glitter Market and what a great selection of vendors we had this year. I am always so impressed by our local talent and this year was no exception. Thank you to all the talented vendors and all of our loyal customers. It was a fun day for everyone and something we all look forward to every year.

Sunday was a relaxing end to the weekend with the so, so nice and fun Jenn McGlon of Noodle & Lou. It was such a pleasure to meet Jenn and we all had such a lovely time in this class. We all decided Jenn needs to come back and wouldn't one of her dolls be fun for Glitter Retreat - hint, hint.

Tuesday evening was the Casady Square Holiday Open House. Always lots of new people in the store and an interesting evening. Thank you to everyone who came out to support PC and Casady Square.

The perfect ending to the week- Irish are continuing on to the 3rd round of 5A State Championship. Woo Hoo! Although we are once again playing a team with a tiger mascot, I think this is the 3rd or 4th for the season so if you have any slogan ideas I'd love to hear them.

Thank you to everyone who helped make this such a full but fun week!

Glitter Market Sneak Peek- Medeah Kitsmiller

I love this series of paintings Medeah has created for Glitter Market . Medeah is one of our PC girls, she teaches at Paper Crown, vends at Glitter Market and instructs at Glitter Retreat. She is very talented and her head is constantly swimming in creativity. You will love her booth and I'm sure will not be able to resist taking home something.

Glitter Market Sneak Peek- Lisa Stanton

We love these adorable snow people almost as much as we love their creator, the sweetest Lisa Stanton. She made some snow people last year but took them to a whole new level this year. Everyone needs a cute snow person and you can leave it out all winter!

Aren't these the cutest? Do ya'll recognize that fabric? Yep, it is our very own Rifle paper made into gorgeous fabric. I'm so glad Jamie will be joining us Saturday at Glitter Market with all of her gorgeous handmade bags and totes. I love Jamie's fabric choices and there are a few I bet you will recognize.

The shopping will be great this year so I hope you all will be here early. Typically we have a line form around 8:30/9. Donuts and coffee will be waiting for you early birds!

Special Holiday Guest Artist
 Spool Hat Ornaments Class
Sun., Nov. 13th
1:30-3:30
Jenn McGlon of Noodle and Lou
$45

Learn how to make Jenn McGlon's nutcracker spool hat ornaments.  These were a
featured project in the Better Homes & Garden holiday issue last year!  We'll
use vintage thread spools, wooden balls, paints and lots of ribbons, trims and
fun bits to make these cheery fellows.  Jenn will provide supplies to make 2 - 3
ornaments per student... but bring your own glue gun and any special trims or
adornments you might want to use.  these are so much fun to make, you'll want to
fill a whole tree with them!

It's Going to be a Fun, Fun Weekend!
