Wishing You a Happy Thanksgiving

I would like to wish you all a very Happy Thanksgiving full of friends, family and wonderful memories.
I am thankful for your loyalty and friendship.

Monday, November 24, 2014

I love that we have a Glitter Market the weekend before Thanksgiving because it always puts me in the right mind set going into Thursday. So very many things to be thankful for! First to all of our loyal customers who brave the early morning chill- thankfully no ice this year- to support some of the most talented artists I know. You are loyal customers and friends to both Paper Crown and our artists. Thank you for welcoming our new vendors. Several times this weekend Lesa commented on how friendly and nice everyone is at Paper Crown. I could not agree more !

We love to see this early morning line forming in front of the store; it guarantees a great market!

Next I am so very thankful for our 10 artists who committed to the market. Your treasures are what everyone lines up to purchase and each year you amaze me with your talent. You girls are so very creative and I am so happy to call each of you my friend. A special thank you to those of you who  traveled to the Market. You gave us a precious weekend away from family and we are so very honored. More than half of our vendors traveled to the Market; Lesa and Cassie get the prize for the furthest.

Robin Thomas we love your knitted goods and journals but even more, you ALWAYs make us laugh!

Peggy you have been a busy girl, I hope you are getting to relax finally!

Our sassy sister Charlotte, your jewelry is beautiful and so is your heart.

Terri where do you find the best stuff? Who cares as long as you share with your friends at Paper Crown.

It was such a pleasure to have Lesa and her daughter Cassie here for the weekend. We are all hoping this is the first of many more visits!

We always love having Holly at the store. She is such a talented artist and the sweetest.

So fun to have Amy Baldwin join us again this year. She does amazing mosaics and the most fun calendars. Unfortunately the traffic from Norman was terrible on Sat. and Amy fly in right at 10 so I don't have a picture which is a shame because she looked so very cute on Saturday!

Another new artist this year, Lisa Stanton. We always love having you at the store and am so very glad you joined us this year.
Could that be the elusive Heather Ales?! It is!!
So glad you and Valita could join us and thanks to hubby for doing double kiddo duty!

Our very own energizer bunny. In addition to all the pictures posted on Facebook she created even more- I hope you are taking a well deserved nap !
Next a huge thank you to Amy, Isabella and Jackie for all your help in getting ready and during the Market. The front desk is always in good hands with Amy and Bella and we all know the Jackie is the hostess with the moistest! However Jackie would love to have you vend next year; it was kinda like Christmas without the tree : )

Finally thank you to all the dads, grandmas and friends who had double duty this weekend so all our moms could come play. I appreciate all you do to support your very talented artists and to help mom's get a break.

It was another great Glitter Market! Thank you everyone for making this such a fun and profitable event

Glitter Market Sneak Peek- Terri Wilkerson

All things vintage and wonderful! That is how I would describe Terri's booth for Glitter Market. Terri was a vendor for the first time last spring and was such a hit. She has so many vintage goodies that will add that special touch to your project or just make a fun vignette for your home. You will not want to miss Terri's treasures.

We are counting down the hours, you too?

Glitter Market Sneak Peek- Amy Baldwin

Just one more day ladies! I hope you are as excited . The vendors will start moving in today, it is always such a fun day to see what everyone has brought and ton see dear friends.. Today's peek is Amy Baldwin. Amy has been a previous Glitter Market vendor and we are so pleased she is able to join us this fall. Amy does absolutely beautiful; mosaic work and also has designed for several companies including Tim Holtz. I can't wait to see Amy's pieces in person. As beautiful; as they are in photos, I know they don't do  them justice

Glitter Market Sneak Peek- Charlotte Perez

If anyone has ever lit up a room, it absolutely has to be the fabulous Charlotte Perez. Charlotte is a Glitter Market veteran and we are so very, very glad to claim her as one of our own. We love her robust laugh and her caring spirit. I'm sure we would have her just come to Glitter Market even if she didn't bring anything- I think she did this spring and we smiled and laughed more because of her presence.

However we absolutely adore her jewelry and can't wait to see what she has been working on this year. It will go quickly so be warned : )

Don't miss out on all the fun on Saturday
doors to Glitter Market open at 10 and the line forms ???
Stay tuned for more Glitter Market

Our second Glitter Market Sneak Peek for today is a new artist to Glitter Market but an old and dear friend to Paper Crown, Lisa Stanton. Instead of shopping this year, Lisa will be sharing her creations with our Glitter Market shoppers. Here is a small sampling of what Lisa will be bringing on Saturday.

Join us this Saturday, Nov. 22nd from 10-3

Glitter Market Preview- Holly Abston

One of today's Glitter Market sneak peeks is the lovely Holly Abston. We are always so excited when Holly can join us for Glitter Market or a class; it's hard with a house full of adorable little ones that need Mom. For those of you follow Holly on Facebook, you have seen her beautiful painted ceramics and guess what... they will be here on Saturday!

Last but certainly not least,  Holly's incredible stash of vintage wallpaper. It's the best in town and I know it will be gone in a flash!

To grab these and so many other wonderful treasures, head to Paper Crown early Saturday morning. I'm sure by 10 am there will be an anxious crowd outside our door. Come join the fun, you will not be disappointed!

Glitter Market Preview- Lesa Dailey

In just short of a week it's that most wonderful time of year- Glitter Market! Therefore it's time to start our artist preview so you will have an idea of all the wonderful treasures that will be available next Saturday, Nov. 22nd.

Our first artist is Lesa Dailey who we are so pleased to welcome to Glitter Market. This is Lesa's first year and hopefully she will become a regular. Lesa lives in Kansas City and has been creating for many years. Lesa is a licensed artist with Bethany Lowe so those of you that love all things vintage, you will probably recognize her work. I would guess Lesa is most proud of her beautiful little granddaughter so be sure to ask to see a picture- she is the cutest little bug.

Lesa has also offered in addition to vending at Glitter Market, to share some of her techniques and sklills with us Thursday evening at the Miss Merry Winter Class. What could be more fun than creating your own Lesa Dailey inspired birdie. I meet Lesa at an art event a few years ago and she is an excellent teacher and has the sweetest spirit. We have a couple of spots still open and you do not want to pass up this special opportunity.
