If you haven't been able to take one of Bobbie's Holiday Soirees, you have missed out on an amazing event and if you have been lucky enough to make one, you know what a special treat they are and you will never miss one ! Come join us for a fun Saturday soiree where you will create this beautiful Valentine's decoration (for reference, the frame is 14x17) , enjoy a lite lunch, squeal with delight over party favors, enter some amazing drawings and be surprised at some other sweet treats. The cost includes all the fun, you only need to bring scissors, adhesive and your trusty glue gun.

Not often do we get to be the very first at something but you can tomorrow. You can get a head start and be the first to create with Catherine Moore's new stamp line, Cirque. Catherine has outdone herself again with this beautiful line of stamps and no one can embellish Catherine's creations better than our Jackie. There are still a couple of class seats left in tomorrow's class so pick up the phone and get to be one of the first!  Class will begin tomorrow at 5:30 and cost is just $25 for 3 of the newest and cutest Valentine tags.

Thank you to everyone who has let a comment or suggestion for the new year. Your suggestions have been very helpful and I appreciate the thought and time you put into them. They have also been very complimentary and I thank you and appreciate your support. I know there are things we can tweak to make Paper Crown even better so please keep the suggestions coming. I'll take comments through this Wednesday and will award one lucky commenter a prize.

 

 

 



Now is Your Chance

OK everyone, now is your chance. A new year, fresh start, 12 months of hope. I have some goals and ideas for 2014 but am wondering what you- Paper Crown friends, fellow artists, customers and blog followers - would like to see happen this year. I am wanting to hear what lines or companies you love, classes or techniques you would like to take,  teachers you want to inspire you, events to celebrate our creativity and anything else you want to comment on- well, within reason please.

I hope to meet with Paper Crown's gems next week to come up with a rough plan for the year. We will be discussing classes, products, Glitter Market, web store- which I know needs a lot of work, PR, events and a possible retreat. We would love to hear your ideas and be able to incorporate those into our discussion.

Christmas Mess

I use the word " mess" in the best, most creative sense. Nevertheless what I have in the backroom is a predominately red and green Christmas mess! I can only look at it for a few more days so if you need something for all those Christmas pictures or if you just want to get a head start on this year, come and get it before it is gone. It will be gone on Monday.

Oh did I mention all Christmas is 60% through tomorrow! Yipee Skippy!

New Year- New Classes

It seems like the Holidays were much longer ago than a few weeks. All the preparation and activity and then poof! it's over. I always take off after Christmas to spend time with my family and just take a break.

We celebrated Em's 15th birthday on New Year's Eve.

 Then off to a sad Fiesta Bowl for our Baylor Bears

 

and a long 14 hour drive home-" Friends" episodes non stop- I am now an certified "Friends" expert.

 

So now it's time to pack up Christmas and get ready for a new year. I have been busy ordering new lines for the store and coming up with some goodies I think you will love. While I was sunning in Phoenix, Jackie was busy coming up with her January and February classes.

 

 

We will start off the new year with this fun Valentine tag class using the new stamp line from one of our very favorites, Catherine Moore. I hope to have Catherine's new line in the store soon and I know you will have a hard time deciding which ones to get- they are all GREAT!

Mystery " Love" Book

If you haven't done one of Jackie's "mystery" book classes you are in for a fun treat. How this class works is you get to see the cover but that is it- the wonderful insides will be revealed at class. It's kinda like getting a present out of the blue- and who doesn't like that! You need to bring several of your "love" pictures whether they are from a wedding, anniversary or special event or person. You also need to bring a book to use as your cover. Jackie's is  5.5" x 9. If you can find one in that range it would be great.
