I Wish I Had Prettier Handwriting

How many times have we all said that? I am so very pleased that I am going to be able to cross off one of the things on my "craft bucket list" very soon. We will be offering a brush calligraphy class on Thurs., March 26th. Come learn the ins and outs of this beautiful art form from new Paper Crown instructor, Krystal Hays.

Beginning Brush Calligraphy

This will be a technique class where you won't go home with a " project" but a new skill that you can incorporate in many of your art projects and correspondence. I am so glad Krystal has agreed to teach at Paper Crown and she comes highly recommended by Glitter Market vendor and amazing artist, Linda Land. Krystal has a Bachelors degree in Art Education and a minor in Design. She  taught Art in Edmond Public Schools for six years. She is now working part time at Anthropologie and helping in their art department. Krystal also has a company, Pen To Paper, where she teaches brush calligraphy. 

 

I know many of you have expressed an interest in learning calligraphy so let's welcome Krystal and show her how fun classes are at Paper Crown. Once we have mastered the basics, Krystal has agreed to teach an advanced brush calligraphy class.

If you have been in the store this past week the backroom is a little out of control. The front room, especially behind the desk has also been out of control but in such an amazing way. Lots of really special things in store for the entire year. It has been a good day, I feel blessed.

Those of you familiar with the store know that a couple of times each year the tables in the classroom are completely covered with new product waiting to find a place in the front. This year could be a first, we have officially run out of table space.
