Just a quick but important reminder, only 2 days left for early bird registration for the Paper Crown Fall Glitter Retreat October 2-4th. Registration is $400 through tomorrow, Sat., Sept 6th and then goes up to $450. Thank you to all the ladies who have signed up. After just a couple of days we have less than 10 spots open. So if you are thinking about registering, call the store by tomorrow to save $50. We have had such a great turnout, both returning and new Glitter girls, and even two from Canada!
In fact, Thelma from Winnipeg has offered to head up one of our swaps. I think Thelma is a veteran because she has taken one of our swap ideas and made it much better. If you are signed up for the retreat and thinking of doing the " something you wear" swap, we are going to replace that with Thelma's new and improved version.
Purse Swap
What gal wouldn't be out on the scrappin' town without her bestie ... her darlin' purse! For this swap, alter a small purse, using all the magic you desire - lace, bling, beads, vintage crocheting, etc. Check out the local thrift store to find that little purse just waiting for a remake and gifting away. Tuck inside the purse, a few little things a gal just has to have.
If you are participating in this swap, please provide the following information - which will be shared with your "secret" swapper (no names will be revealed till Thursday evening!). Although it may seem vague, the information will give your "secret" swapper some idea about altering the purse and what to include inside the purse! That's what we're all about - the magic of interpretation and creating a magical one-of-a-kind purse to be adored by all! Need a little eye candy creativity for this one -- google "altered purses" and check out lots of images posted on-line.
