Special Treats

Who doesn't love a special treat now and then? Austin & I got to go to Colorado this weekend for a quick getaway with my sister Kathy and her husband Chris. A little hiking, cool weather, great food, mini spa day and the beautiful aspens and mountains- definitely a special treat!

However I'm feeling very blessed - or should I say spoiled, because this entire month at Paper Crown is one big special treat! Usually we spread these gifts out a little more but some special opportunities presented themselves and we jumped at the chance. I always say we have the best customers at Paper Crown, so I think you all deserve it!

So first up in a line of treats....

Eileen Hull of the Paper Trail
Metal Covered Technique Journal
this Saturday, Oct. 10th
10:30-1:30
$55

There has been a "Scotty" sighting in OK so I know Eileen has made it safely to the Sooner state. Eileen is a designer for Sizzix and has a vintage trailer, "Scotty" she takes with her on a cross country teaching tour. Join us this Saturday for Eileen's unique metal covered journal using one of her dies. We have a good group signed up but I would love to get a few more to welcome Eileen to OK and especially, Paper Crown. I know it's OU TX weekend but I don't think it will be much of a game- I'll even put it on the radio ; )  Please help me show Eileen first hand what a great group we have at Paper Crown.

 Autumn Augusta
Tuesday, Oct 13th
5:30-9:00
Lesa Dailey,$90

We love, love, love when Lesa and her daughter Cassie make the trip from KC to teach or vend at Paper Crown. I first met Lesa years ago at a Gilded Life event and immediately fell in love with her and her flock of " birds."  She is a sweet and generous teacher and you will not want to miss this class. Lesa's creations always sell out at Glitter Market and have been picked up by home décor manufacturers. Why buy a reproduction when you can create an original!  The pictures do not do this beauty justice. She is big and fabulous, the perfect statement decoration for your holidays. She costs a little more but please trust me, she is larger than most of our projects and full of vintage goodies, not reproductions. If you don't sign up, you will be sorry next Wed. when you see pictures from this class,  trust me!

Two more special treats that just developed last week...

Deconstructed Jewelry

Kaari Meng,$68

and

Boro & Sashiko Stitching

10:30-1:30
Kaari,$68

Kaari Meng  is and has been for years, one of the leaders in the creative industry. She is a master teacher in many artistic mediums in addition to owning French General, a quite LA store specializing in vintage creative goods and textiles. Kaari also hosts amazing classes and art retreats at her store, around the US and in France. Kaari will also be in the Sooner state this month and has agreed to make a side trip to OKC to teach at Paper Crown. These classes are filling very quickly.

As you can see lots of unique artistic opportunities this month. Please join me in welcoming Eileen, Lesa and Kaari to our friendly, creative state.
