Around the world via poscards

Girdie's mailbox has been full lately. She has received so very many postcards these past couple of weeks. She has had greetings from Savannah via Brenda E., Jenks America- my alma mater - via Libby, Route 66 via Norma M, the Big Apple via Cheri, Africa via Terri W, Paris via Nancy K., and I even managed a card from Lake Como.

Our front window looks so festive with all the postcards hanging but we have room for many more. Girdie will be collecting postcards until Labor Day so please keep them coming! Everyone who submits a postcard will get their name entered in a drawing for a Paper Crown gift certificate- just in time for all the summer CHA goodies that should begin shipping in August and September.
Kit no. 7

Holly- i think

Today's kit is this wonderful collection of vintage millinery goodies. I have racked my brain trying to remember which class this was from and who taught it. My guess is the talented Miss Holly Abston but I'm not positive and I can't find a class sample anywhere. Nevertheless, this is a great collection of treasures that could make a wonderful vintage  pretty. As with all of our kits, it is first come first serve and if today's doesn't tickle your fancy,  check back with us tomorrow for another selection.

A new set of magazines from Somerset including: Somerset Studio, Journaling and Somerset Life. These are especially interesting because they contain articles from a couple of our very favorite people- Colette Copeland and Renee Rogers.

Also just in loads of ruffled crepe paper from Ann-Denise along with clear and colored mica flakes.
Hope you all have a wonderful weekend and try to stay cool!

  1. Just got back from Ireland and Wales. I sent Girdie a postcard from Wales, but sent it to Jackie because I didn't have the store address... hope it arrives soon!

  2. Yes, that's my kit, Cindy. It was for the cake-topper box. It makes a floral arch over a nest with a bird family in it.
