Cheri Update

Our favorite singing clerk popped in to Paper Crown this morning to check in and get a hug. I saw with my own two eyes, Cheri and baby Grant are fine. Cheri moved into her rental house this morning. About 60 volunteers showed up at the farm this morning at 7 to help load up what they could and move it to the rental. Cheri is close to the store and her parents which will be nice once Grant arrives. Cheri went to the doctor this week and all was well. If she has not had Grant by Father's Day, she will be induced. I can't think of a better present for Alan or Mr. Redburn!

Here are some pictures of the farm...

As you can see there isn't much left. Cheri said for the most part their bedroom,  kitchen and Grant's room are fairly intact. The rest of the house is a loss, including Cheri's scrapbook room which had all of her baby equipment. They also lost their cars which were in the garage. Alan had driven Cheri to school on Monday because they were supposed to have a Dr. apt after school.

They are currently still deciding whether they will relocate or rebuild.

Cheri said she and Alan were both overwhelmed  by the generosity of friends and total strangers. Cheri has an angel in NY who has sent her several large boxes of diapers and wipes. Because Cheri and Alan are in temporary housing and because they are still not sure what will be salvageable, gift cards to places such as Walmart and Target are the best choice. Paper Crown will continue to collect for Cheri, Alan and baby Grant through next weekend. Thank you to all who have been so generous, Cheri was brought to tears this morning.

Another way to help tornado victims is through Heather Ale's Hope for Oklahoma art auction on Facebook. Artists from around the country, many are familiar Paper Crown and Glitter Market girls, have donated pieces and 100% of the proceeds will benefit tornado victims. The auction is on Facebook and begins Monday, May 27th- Friday, May 31st. You won't want to miss this great opportunity to help our neighbors.
